A drawing done by my late father James L. Devine. One of the best he did. It was for my sister Angela. Notice her name is on the boat.

Artist: James L. Devine 1937 - 2008

Thanks! That is how I feel about it too! People don't believe me when I tell them, but it was done with only ball point pens and felt tip markers! I have had artists tell me that it is impossible. I watched him do it, so I know it was possible.

THAT was done with ball point pens! My mind has been blown. I wish I could've met him! That's just down right amazing! I didn't think it was paint, it wasn't the right look. But ball point pens? I've got to try those.

I don't think there are many artists who could match this with ball point and felt pen. It is a mystery how he did the blending. I think he just used his fingers t smear the ink before it dried, but I don't know. I don't remember exactly.

I don't know if the mystery will ever be solved. It's magic. I guess that's the only way to explain it.
