The Poking Ghost StorySometimes a strong imagination is a curse. I have very vivid dreams and nightmares.
When I was in the navy, I had a nightmare one night that a ghostly presence attacked me in my bed. I could feel these cold hands grabbing me. I awoke screaming it seemed so real.
For weeks afterward I could not go to sleep easily. I could feel the ghost creeping up on me. I tried to ignore it and tell myself it was just a dream and my imagination to no avail. I would start to drop off and feel the ghost poke me. I would wake with a start and thrash about.
When I finally gave it a name, "The Poking Ghost," and told my friends about it, they suggested ignoring it and it would get bored and move on. So I tried that. When I got poked, I ignored it. Eventually, the poking slowly ebbed and became more and more infrequent. Eventually it all but disappeared.
However, I still get visited by the poking ghost every so oft
Escapism via Day Dream Hypnosis:iconmelianofmist: NOTE: These are descriptions of how and why I exist for :iconmistgod:. They describe me as an alternate semi-independent persona in Mistgod's mind. This does not mean he is crazy or having mental issues of any kind. Please don't misinterpret what you might read here and in the comments by other deviants. Mistgod is very well adjusted and happy. He just happens to be very imaginative and creative in having me in his mind. Please enjoy the stories, but have an open mind and don't jump to conclusions.
The following story is by :iconMistgod:
All my life I have dealt with anxiety problems. I developed my own personal coping skill. I call it Day Dream Hypnosis. Here is how it works.
In order to deal with stress and anxiety, loneliness or boredom, I can escape from reality, cutting off the outside world. I sort of escape into a make believe imaginary world for hours. I have used this as a way to cope with
Mana Berry Vine
Found here and there in Mist World, mana berry vines are long spiraling vines that grow mana berries. Many berries are blue glowing berries about the size of a blueberry. When consumed, a ripe mana berry will boost a spellcaster's spell power. One average sized mana berry vine will contain 2d6 ripe mana berries. Mana berry vines are very expensive and difficult to grow. At market a batch of six mana berries costs 25 gold pieces. High quality mana berries have higher potency but cost twice as much!
One mana berry = +1 caster level for 2d6 rounds.
One high quality mana berry = +1d4 caster levels for 2d6 rounds.
Mana berries can be stored in a small jar, bag or flask for up to a year before losing their potency.
The Butterfly WandThe Butterfly Wand
It is a wand of fly with a quirk. The wand itself has illusionary butterfly wings on its tip that are constantly fluttering (pretty!). When a wizard uses the wand on someone, that person gains fly spell AND this really pretty illusion of butterfly wings! The wings flutter as the recipient of the magic flies about while the spell lasts. In addition, the flier leaves a trail of pretty butterflies in his or her wake.
Mystics of the Cycle
Within the realm of Sanctuarium, there are female sorcerer mystics known as Mystics of the Cycle. It is not just a character class, but also a pseudo race as the female mystics of this order are born with inherited innate magical talent. Members do not join, they are born into the order. They are martial artist monks and also powerful elemental sorcerers. They all have incredible beauty and seemingly eternal youth and are virtually immortal (immune to aging effects). They have powerful charisma and the ability to charm and enchant male humans. They mate with selected males once they have completely dominated them mentally. The captured (or "smitten") men become well treated husband-slaves.
Mystics of the Cycle have a mission to detect breaches in the borders of Sanctuarium and any appearance of chaotic magic mists within the realm. They also guard against monster invasions. They can detect disturbances in the cycle of magic that indicates a break in the borders.
Magic Maelstrom Chamber
Magic Maelstrom Chamber
This is a sixty foot wide cylindrical chamber with a twenty foot high ceiling. The walls are made of cut blocks of dark stone. At least two doorways open into this chamber, but there could be more. There is no floor in the chamber. Instead, just a few feet below the entrances there is a wall to wall maelstrom (whirlpool) of dark water. There is a thunderous sound of rushing water and a wet spray from the churning waves.
Near the ceiling of the chamber, on the wall to one side, is a ten foot wide, five foot high arched opening. From this opening a waterfall cascades into the whirlpool below. Along the walls between the doorways leading into the room is a very narrow stone walkway (only two feet wide). The walkway is wet from the spray of splashing waves.
Attempting to cross the room on foot from one doorway to another, by traversing the narrow stone walkway, is very treacherous. To do so successfully r
Battle of the Bones ChamberBattle of the Bones Chamber
This is a fifty foot wide square chamber with a twenty foot high ceiling. Every twenty square feet stands a five foot wide stone pillar (one in each corner and one exactly in the middle. The walls are made of cut blocks of dark stone. The floor is dark gray flagstone. Low lying mist swirls about the floor. The floor of this chamber is covered in heaps of skulls and bones (various sizes and races), broken armor and mundane weapons. There are so many broken skeletons that one can only move across the floor at half speed. In each corner of the chamber is stone block holding a large iron brazier with everburning fire.
There are at least two entrances into the chamber, maybe more. In one wall is an alcove or niche behind a set of iron bars. In the niche is a skeleton with a gong. The skeleton is animated and when it perceives any living creature entering the room it will begin pounding the gong.
Golfo's Dweller at The Crossroads ChamberGolfo’s Dweller at The Crossroads Chamber
This is a fifty foot wide square chamber with a twenty foot high vaulted ceiling. The walls are made of cut blocks of dark stone. The floor is dark gray flagstone. There are four entrance/exits (strong wooden doors) to the chamber, one in each wall. A twenty foot square red carpet lies in the center of the floor. Upon the carpet stands a wooden table holding two huge burning candles and three musical instruments: a hand drum, a lute and a lyre. Below the table is a large wooden chest. Standing behind the table is a very tall humanoid figure in a long flowing purple robe with a deep hood. The robe is trimmed with silver embroidery and many little silver bells. The figure does not move as the PCs enter the chamber. Note: No matter which door the PCs first enter the room from, the dweller is always encountered facing them, standing behind the table, when they first enter the room.

Mirror Portal with Candle Key Mirror Portal with Candle Key
This is a large mirror, either free standing or mounted on a wall. The mirror is a magic portal that is activated only by a person holding a specific burning candle. The person holding the candle and any creature or person touching him or her will be able to walk through the portal. Only the one specific candle will activate the portal when lit and held. The portal leads to another identical mirror portal in another chamber. If either mirror is broken, the magic will no longer function. If the lit candle key is not within five feet of the mirror, the mirror portal is inert and will not function, seeming in every way to be an ordinary mirror. A detect magic will detect transmutation magic on the mirror even if it is not activated by the candle key. Another version of this mirror may require a PC to wear a specific type of robe while holding the candle key, or even chant a specific chant while wearing the robe

A Late Night TG Part 2 (Final)
Ryan was your average everyday guy. He had a good job and went to a nice college as well. Tonight he had just finished playing video games online with his best friend Ted. They had just now called it a night and he was relaxing now on his couch from that intense session.
"Ah, man tonight was fun. But man those mobs nearly kicked our butts." He chuckled thinking to himself of new strategies for tomorrow. "Good thing its summer vacation otherwise I'd so sleep in and be late for classes but I'm not so who cares." He shrugged dismissing the thought of school like most would.
After that thought Ryan lounged around for a bit before getting up heading into the kitchen fixing up a late night snack. He easily settled on some buttery popcorn putting it in the microwave standing back waiting. "Oh man, I can smell it already." He said staring at the popping bag filling up with his favorite snack.
The microwave buzzed and Ryan opened it, immediately sticking his hand in the open bag getting a handf
Mistake G/TSeveral years ago, there was a curious human child who found a shy giant child in the forest, living with a human family. The human family doesn't know where the giant came from, but they told the child he was friendly and kind, and also told her not to mention him to anyone.
The giant and human became friends over time and things were going well...until the 'event' had happened.
The human, now a young teenager at the time, was about to be attack by another human when the giant saved her. The way he saved her though, had terrified her, since his behavior was completely different from his gentle and kind nature. When the giant tried to comfort her thought she freaked out and ran away, calling him a monster. This hurt the giant deeply, and he didn't know what to do.
The worst and biggest mistake was after she ran away from him...she sold him out because she was scared. After she sold him out though she regretted it and she wanted to warn the family but it was already too late. The giant

Define Proxy: a servant and/or helper to the mythical creature, the Slender Man. Proxies are said to be the Slender Man's only human connection to the outside world. A Proxy's duty varies depending on what tasks their Master assigns to them. A few examples are: maintaining order in the Slender Woods, translating their Master's thoughts and speech to others, even going as far as 'taking care of' those who are in their Master's way. Whatever the Slender Man wants, it is the Proxy's job to make sure it happens, cleanly or not. It is assumed by many that the Slender Man sees its Proxies as simply nothing more than personal

Chapter 105: Similar Saviors
On the rooftops of Traverse Town, Alphonse finally reached Edward, who was on Isaac's trail! Al jumped to his side and said, "Brother, the Transmutation, it seems Isaac is-!"
The Elrics were caught by surprise as Eastern Liberators popped out of the windows and doorways to pump them full of lead! As the brothers dodged, Ed asked, "Sorry about the intermission Al, can you repeat that?" Ed punched the nearest gunman while Al batted away two more and said, "Isaac's Transmutation was designed to freeze over the entire city, including the military base!"
After driving his foot into a Liberator's stomach, Ed said, "I've noticed the Ice walls curving and connecting, there must be a few Circles hidden around the city. We crush them, the city's safe, but we still need to catch up with 'Mr. Brow'-!" As soon as Ed clocked someone from behind and threw him at Al to slam to the ground, Al reported, "Isaac's our priority, Sora said he'll deal
junior year.. it was really bad last year because of the school stress
break down every week
literally every week at least one day of the week
at my worst... of depression
I've probably been on the floor of my bedroom
and I wouldn't be able to get up because of how "heavy" I felt
of course we can put aside the crying and silent screaming
I've "thought" about suicide, but not leaned to the side of "going to commit it"
because there's nothing in death
no one waiting on the other side
nothing there on the "other side"
there isn't even an "other side"
your brain is shut down
its like sleeping
you don't remember anything, you don't feel anything
and hard as it sounds, I'm the person that would rather feel than not feel anything at all
I find it hard to laugh a lot. Most of the time its forced
I don't smile always
and usually I can be very quiet somedays with my head down and it seems I may be spacing out
I find it hard to enjoy things like I used to
I could go to a new amusement park
The Blue Demoness of Brazil: Chapter 2
It was 1:23 PM and Patrick was still going over the letter and notes sent by his friend, Bernardo Oliveira. More disturbing was the ideology of a curse they contained. Patrick had long been a skeptic of such things. But after his dealings with Panthera, and the knowledge he had gotten from Jordan Raven, he couldn't dismiss them so lightly. It was then that Lucy Milford entered with a tray.
Patrick didn't look up as he barked, “Susan I said go to lunch!”
“Calm down Patrick, I brought you some lunch.” Lucy replied as she set the tray down with a plate of food, and a pitcher of lemonade, and a glass.
Patrick seemed frustrated as he looked up to her. “You women are worse than my housekeeper Kapeka.”
“Who do you think made your lunch? By the way, what are you doing in here?” Lucy said sitting on his desk.
“Research...why are you here?” Patrick looked at the tray, “Hmm, pirozhky and baursaki. Delicious but fattening.”
The Man in the Moon“My offer from last night still stands.” Liz reminded me. “Have you made your decision?”
I looked up at her, a forlorn smile tugging at the corners of my mouth. It was remarkable how close we’d grown over the last several months. We were so different. Yet, on a fundamental level, we were the same.
As a human, I should have experienced a number of emotions when faced with one of Liz’s kind. Fear, anxiety, anger, and despair were all warranted. The dragon race deserved nothing less: in six months they had wiped out all trace of human civilization, and in less than a year they’d driven mankind to the brink of extinction.
On the surface, Liz seemed just as savage as the rest of her species. A tangled myriad of black scales, white claws, and piercing red eyes, the dragon harbored a predatory finesse that would have put any Earthly carnivore to shame. But most dangerous and most defining of all was her size: while most men were lucky to stand six fee
Flexilbleem's Aquarium SphereFlexilbleem's Aquarium Sphere
These are large glass spheres, created by the legendary wizard Flexilbleem the Fantastic. They are water (usually saltwater) aquariums full of fish and water plants. The aquarium spheres are enhanced with magic that continually aerates the water and provides nourishment to the fish and aquatic creatures inside. The interior is usually illuminated by glow crystals of various colors. The glass is strengthened with permanent force magic (a sphere shaped adaptation of wall of force spell). The aquariums rest on a stand made of stone, metal or wood or are part of a statue feature.
The aquarium spheres come in various large sizes: large (5 to 10 feet diameter), huge (15 to 20 feet diameter), gigantic (20 to 30 feet in diameter), and colossal (30 feet in diameter or more). They often feature colorful sand and pebbles, and water plants and an array of harmless fish. Sometimes there are features such as sunken ruins (brok
How It Began"God, your two o'clock is here."
"I have a two o'clock?"
"He's been here since 7:45. I figured it's only polite to... sir."
God sighed. "Fine, send him in."
While He waited God cleared His desk of papers and blueprints; no need for outsiders to see His plans. Soon enough the door to His office opened and God stood, smiled, held out a hand towards one of the two visitor's chairs.
"God! Great stuff you're doing in sector 2-7-0! Great stuff!"
The man's hands were clammy, his handshake limp. Rumpled suit, porkpie hat, briefcase... oh Jes-- oh dear, a salesman. God's smile slipped a little but He soldiered on gamely. With luck He could shoo the poor guy away in a few minutes.
"So, what can I do for you?"
The man sat, briefcase across his knees. "Sector 2-7-0! Everyone's talking about it! What do you call it? Man and merman?"
"Man and woman, actually. And thanks. But we're pretty busy around here, and..."
"Oh! Right! No time for the wicked, eh?" The salesman winked and popped his briefcase,
